Abstract Expressionist

The inspiration for this design came about in response to a commission
request for a piece that would resonate with several abstract
expressionist paintings in the client’s private collection. To match the
vibrant quality of the canvases, Chris developed a technique that allowed
him to “paint” directly onto the hot glass, preserving the intensity and
depth of pure color, and echoing the aesthetic of mid-twentieth century
American artists such as Sam Francis and Mark Rothko.
